Volunteer Update (November 2025) 🚨

The outpouring of interest in volunteering has been incredible — thank you!

At this time, we are fully staffed for 2025, and we are working through a large number of volunteer applications submitted since November 1, 2025.

If you recently applied and haven’t heard back yet, thank you for your patience. Most new volunteer placements will begin in early 2026 as openings become available. We appreciate your desire to support our neighbors, and we look forward to connecting with you as soon as we are able.

Volunteer with Us 🤝

Our volunteers are the glue that holds CCC together.

From driveway food distributions and home deliveries to retail rescue pickups, packing food bags, stocking shelves, and supporting special programs—our volunteers keep it all running. Whether you’re a people person or prefer behind-the-scenes roles, there’s a place for you here. We build a monthly schedule and try to match volunteers with roles that suit their interests and abilities. If you’re interested in joining the team, please review the information below and complete the application. We’ll follow up with a quick conversation before your first shift—just to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone.

Volunteer Expectations ✅

All volunteers must meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 15 years old. (For specific age-related questions, feel free to reach out.)
• Be able to lift 30 pounds, unless assigned to a desk task in advance.
• Wear closed-toed shoes.
• Be flexible—we’ll do our best to place you where you’re most comfortable, but things can shift quickly.
• Be reliable—call at least a day in advance if you need to cancel your scheduled shift.
• Follow all CCC policies and treat everyone—volunteers and neighbors—with respect and compassion.

I always feel for the people who are coming for the first time.
