Until the line of cars stops I will donate! – CCC Donor
Buy From Our Registry 🛍
The Community Crisis Center, Inc’s Registry for Good is a list of the items that we need the most. Help us serve the community by shopping from home. Items are sent directly to the Community Crisis Center and distributed to our neighbors. We are particularly in need of diapers, feminine hygiene products, and other toiletries. Organize a Food Drive 🥫
We welcome food drives from area workplaces, neighborhoods, places of worship, classrooms, and more! We’ve worked with SECU Credit Union, Beth El Synagogue, Consolidated Insurance & Risk Management, St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, and many others across Baltimore County to lead successful food drives for our neighbors. Please follow these simple steps to get started on your CCC food drive.
- Set goals for your food drive. Determine how much food you want to donate and promote the goal to your group. You can use our promotional flyer template to include the target number of items. Please note that you can also include personal care items in your drive! See the template flyer for suggested food and hygiene items.
- Let us know of your plan. Call or email us with the proposed delivery date of the food drive as well as your goal for how much food your group will contribute.
- Organize and run your food drive. Kick off the food drive by talking about hunger in our neighborhoods and how CCC helps. Share that CCC is a registered 501(c)3 with a Guidestar Gold Seal of Transparency and has worked since 1982 to support our neighbors in need.
- Share goals and any incentives you have for meeting the goals. You can use our 2024 Year in Review to learn more about CCC and our impact.
As part of your kickoff, please be clear about the types of food CCC accepts and does not accept. Here are some general guidelines to share with your group:
- Only donate items that you would eat.
- Check that the items are still within the “use before” date.
- Avoid glass items (with the exception of baby food), which can easily break.
- Avoid opened items. It’s ok if the external packaging is damaged, so long as the internal packaging is still intact.
- Do not donate home canned goods.
Support our Bottoms Up Program! 🧷
Bottoms Up is CCC’s dedicated program to collect and distribute diapers, period products, and incontinence supplies for neighbors in need. Did you know:
- Infants require up to 12 diapers per day, and toddlers about 8. No state or federal child safety-net program allocates dollars specifically for the purchase of diapers. (Source: National Diaper Bank Network)
- Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 American girls have either left school early or missed school entirely because they didn’t have access to period products? (Source: Always. 2017. The Always Confidence and Puberty Wave VI Study.)
- Inadequate or inferior incontinence products can lead to urinary tract infections, rashes, and other complications that can trigger more serious problems. (Source: Lindenfeld Hall, Sarah. Source: “Isolated and alone: Nonprofits see explosion of need for adult incontinence products.” NBC News. March 8, 2021)
The Community Crisis Center needs these items for the families we serve! Please drop off unopened and/or unused packages of diapers and pull-ups, pads, tampons, and liners, & incontinence products to our building.
